Intermediate Data Analyst

We are looking for Intermediate Data Analyst with strong database and MySQL
knowledge. This role is responsible for working within the billing team and will report to
the COO. Key duties include managing and monitoring the operations of an in-house
model for predicting critical business outcomes with high accuracy. This includes
providing support for other members of the team as necessary to enhance the operation
usage of the model.
Responsibilities:
o Operate our statistical models daily providing support and accountability for
outcomes.
o Develop guidelines, standards, and processes for the further development and
usage of our models.
o Optimize data structures for statistical analysis.
o Integrate data feeds from external partners (such as transaction feeds from credit
card processors).
o Gather and analyze web site and financial performance data to prepare regular
reports for the statistics team.
o Audit financial data for the purposes of reconciliation and risk monitoring.
o Analyze user behaviour to make proposals for improvements to the prediction and
risk models.
o Assist with the formalization and documentation of departmental procedures.
o Use available data to assist the development team in troubleshooting software
bugs.
o Conduct routine maintenance of databases and analysis tools.
o Working on accounting reports, sales reports, member value reports, and email
reports.
o Design report visualizations (including charts and graphs).
o Structuring queries.
o Setting up highly technical systems.
o Processing data sources within rules on MySQL queries to arrange that data.
o Performing tests, validating all data flows and preparing all ETL processes
according to business requirements.
o Working with the Manager in the development of data warehouse and all related
extraction, transformation and load of data functions in the organization.
o Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
o Relational database development, with a solid understanding of MySQL, database
design, and optimization.
o ETL development
o Bash/Unix shell scripting

o API’s
o Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
o Ability to manage timelines and prioritize effectively.
o Excellent math, logic, and problem-solving skills.
o Exception attention to detail.
o Strong understanding of financial risk models, actuary experience considered an
asset.
o Node.js (Nice to have)
o 5 years+ of experience (Nice to have)

experience: medium level, 5+ years of relevant experience with:
analysing users’ behaviour,
designing report visualizations,
ETL processes,
relational database development, with a solid understanding of MySQL, database design, and optimization
sourcing worldwide except Argentina
EDT working time
salary range up to 3k USD gross as contractors (only in Argentina is regular employment because there is branch office registered there).
Advanced level in English is a must because the team is internationally based.
